OpenAI just announced o3 and o4-mini today! During the livestream, the team used Codex and o4-mini to build a really cool image-to-ASCII converter. They even hooked it up to a webcam API, and the results were pretty impressive.

I don’t have access to the cool new ChatGPT models, but I’ve still got my good old versions. And with a little human help on the debugging side, ChatGPT actually managed to pull it off just fine.
